Executive Positions

Executive Editor

The Executive Editor is responsible for overseeing the editorial process. This includes coordinating production work assignments, organizing footnote checks, preparing issues for publication, and publishing. They serve as the liaison between Editorial members and the Executive. 

The Executive Editor will work closely with the Editors-in-Chief regarding internal processes. 

Editorial Manager

The Editorial Manager is responsible for promoting submissions. This includes running the call for submissions at the Faculty and devising and implementing outreach strategies to encourage submissions from other Canadian law schools, law clerks, and articling students.

They also maintain the anonymity of the editorial process by shielding the identity of submitting authors from all editors. This includes handling correspondence with authors, assigning work to cell groups, and liaising with Articles Editors and Senior Editors with respect to conflicts of interest.

Director of Strategy

The Director of Strategy fosters connections between current members, alumni, authors, and the wider legal community. The Director of Strategy plans and hosts both internal and external events.

Director of Business and Development

The Director of Business and Development manages our finances. This includes setting our budget, soliciting advertisements, and overseeing the printing process. They are also responsible for maintaining and expanding the Law Review’s subscriber base. 

Design and Creative Media Editor 

The Design and Creative Media Editor designs issues of the Law Review. They are responsible for the publication design and layout of each issue. 

They also create engaging content used to generate interest in the Law Review across a variety of mediums including print, web, and social media. Their work supports the Law Review's call for submissions and applications, as well as the year-round promotion of the Law Review.
